1. GEORGE BAKER was born before 1788, and died before 1827. He married MARGARET MILLER 01 Aug 1809 in Jefferson Co,TN. She was the daughter of Unknown Miller. Margaret Baker is a widow in the 1830 Jefferson Co TN census.
We are also searching for John Baker whose marriage to a Miller female is recorded a few years later. This John BAKER is unidentified at this time. John Baker md Susannah MILLER on 25 Oct 1813 Jefferson Co, TN. Please write us if you descend from this John Baker and Susannah MILLER.

i. JAMES BAKER, b ca 1810, Jefferson Co, TN; m. (1) POLLY ANN MCCALL; m. (2) ELIZABETH RUSSELL, 01 Dec 1853, Blount Co, TN. (Believed to be a son of George.)

ii. JOSEPH J. BAKER, b ca 1813, Jefferson Co, TN; d. 1895, Blount Co, TN; m. EDAH AILEY, 12 Aug 1837, Jefferson Co,TN Also have 10 Dec 1837 dau of Jacob AILEY and Susannah BARE.
(Believed to be a son of this George Baker as the other Joseph in the county is probably the son
of James Baker and Mary Hill of Sevier Co, TN who are not related.)

Joseph Baker born ca 1811 in Jefferson Co.,TN was the son of George and Margaret(Miller)Baker.
He married Edah Ailey on 8/12/1837 in Jefferson Co.,TN. He and family are listed in the Hamilton Co.,TN US census for 1860 & 1870. At some point he and family moved to BLOUNT Co. and are found in the 1880 census there.
